Analyst—Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited (Project Controllers – A&A Finops) The role of A&A Finops

The A&A Finance Operations Team (FinOps) supports the Audit and Assurance (A&A) business in the financial management of all engagements from their inception to their closure, promoting best practise & maximising financial performance:

  • End-to-End support for engagement life cycle, which include the following.
    • Onboarding of client in swift
    • Engagement creations
    • Invoice creations – Cancel re-enter, credit notes and modifications
    • Modify engagement, updating engagement roles, WIP write offs, WIP transfers and changes to engagement structure.
    • Close engagements, involve clearing the WIP balance before closure
  • Engagement code setup advice or Pricing tool queries
  • Types of Queries to be lodged to FINOPS using the General Questions ServiceNow form include Complex or bulk invoice requests.
  • Reinstating an engagement code
  • Post additional cost not previously applied to the engagement and additional work to the client
  • Ad-hoc engagement code queries or analysis
  • Response to/approval of audit related queries and
Work you will do

  • Work as a Project Controller within the A&A Finops team.
  • The engagement life cycle change requests are submitted by the AU practitioners.
  • ServiceNow tickets tool manage the workflow against specific engagement category. Maintain SLA of 24-48 hours based on the request category.
  • Respond to email enquiries from the practice in relation to the ServiceNow ticket.
  • Understand the business dynamics of the process and meet the expectation of AU stakeholders on a consistent basis.
  • Requires professional interaction and communication, both within the Hyderabad office and Australian offices.
  • Ownership of the tickets to be retained until closure, follow-ups to be made timely on the required tickets.
  • Actively participate in all recurring weekly calls with leadership in Australia and provide quality inputs, which enables them to take business decisions.
  • Understanding and adhering to KPI’s (Accuracy & Count).
  • Attend training sessions for technical and personal development as necessary
  • Ensure that all the process related documents are up-to date.
  • Ensure to maintain agreed SLA’s with clients and independently manage specific deadlines.

Work location: Hyderabad Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM Finance & Shared Services Australia

The “Finance & Shared Services” team at Hyderabad supports the Deloitte organization in Australia with a wide variety of capabilities like management and financial reporting, accounts payable, debtor management, payroll, data quality, finance system support, IT services, Business Intelligence development, client and engagement acceptance, and client contract management activities.

In addition, we have other sub-teams under FSS which provides services related to Assurance & Advisory (A&A). Project Controllers support A&A service line in business units of Financial Services, Self Managed Super Funds and Assurance & Advisory Quality & Review teams.

Key Skills Required:

  • The individual should be able to do multi-tasking and must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
  • Able to work autonomously, highly self-motivated to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive in all communications - Ability to document and communicate the results of reviews in an efficient and effective manner
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with other team members
  • Good telephonic skills as it is required to have weekly calls with various stakeholders. Candidates need to have client centric focus
  • Basic PowerPoint skills is desirable
  • Good MS Excel skills is a must. Proficiency in data validation, logical functions in MS Excel, ability to analyze large data in Excel and should be in a position to design new reports in excel
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Shows initiative and is proactive in seeking resolution of issues and in learning the business of the Assurance & Advisory and Deloitte Australia
  • The individual should be able to do the multi-tasking and must demonstrate the strong ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environment (shows flexibility), work under pressure with sense of urgency, and meet tight deadlines. The individual should be comfortable in working for long hours during the peak period. The team has the peak period during month ends, wherein the individuals have to work under strict timelines. This is primarily due to the nature of the business

Qualifications Required
  • Graduate/Post Graduate (B.Com, BA, BBA) with Financial Background and strong analytical skills

Preferred
  • Good Excel skills and strong computer skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
